Okay I'm just now (thanks to this site) becomming familiar with all of the parts that you can either replace or modify on a 240sx. Then I ran into something that I had never really heard about before. Tension Rods. Looking around the forum there is advise about which ones to buy, and always to make sure that if your getting new ones make sure they are adjustable. From research online I learned that what they can be used to adjust is the caster.

My question is this: How do new tension rods with the same amount of caster as the stock tension rods dialed in help? Like I know that they improve the handling and the responsiveness of the car, but like what are they doing in order to achieve those results?

 

Replacing the wore out bushing with pillowball mounts. You can leave it stock setting unless your setup allows you to change it.

Since they are thicker they can take more abuse.

I have Tein T/C rods they are okay. Not the strongest but better that stock.

 

I have the Tanabe t/c rods coming in on tuesday so I'll let you know how they work for me.

 

I have cusco adjustable tension rods on mine, you notice a difference in steering right away, plus when I got my coilovers and had my car aligned, it gives the guy doing the alignment one more way of making your car the way you want it.
