time for tires!!!!

i got some 17x8 5zigen fno1rc's(bronze) with 215/40's and im wondering whats the biggest tire i could put on without it bulging over the lip? the 215's look so small on these rims they dont even line up with the lip(looks kind of lyk them jdm stretched tire/style). plus the tires are kumho and they suck. lol (no offense to ppl who lyk kumho). could i go bigger than 225 or would that be the perfect fit? thnks!

personally I would go with 235... but you can fit bigger if you want the tire to go way over the lip... in which it will probably rub the fender.

Search, "biggest tire for 17x8" or similar google.com

i read on another forum that i could run 255's and i was lyk holy sh*t. lol but anyway, im gonna put on 30mm over fenders whenever the shop i ordeered them from calls me(front and rear). so im not worried about wheel to fender clearance. just making sure it wont bulge over the lip and look gay. thanks!

wtf

you wheel will look like *** if you run anything bigger than 225

I run 215 on 9j.

why not go bigger rim if you want a bigger tire.

well my car is only a weekend/show car so thats why im running such big tires. im gonna try buy a pair of 245's and see how they look. i tlaked to a bunch of shops down here and they said 255 would be the widest i could go before i sstart bulging out the sides. thanks for all the info! much appreciated. and i just got my 30mm front fenders today so ill be bolting those on and taking pictures sometime this week or next week.

Oh just to let you know 225 is the widest tire S13's can have in the front. Unless you have lower offset.

Also Having wider fender in the front only applies if you have a wider wheel with way lower offset. i.e 17 x 9 -2.

Hmmm i have 9.5j with a 255 tire and its flush with the rim.

If your building a show car you picked wrong wheels.

I bet you live in BFE. Am i Right?
