toe/camber question

i kno this might be a rookie question, but i always wondered how the toe and camber angles affect performance? is a pos camber better than a neg? same for toe. just a random newbie qustion.

Camber affects contact patch. Ideally, you always want 0 camber, so that the wheels sit flat. When you corner hard, or hit a bump, the weight shifts on the car, and the camber angle can change. Upon hard cornering, the wait shifts to the outside, and the centrifugal force pushes outward on the wheel, resulting in added positive camber. With weak OEM type suspension parts, it is best to then have a few degrees of negative camber when sitting still (~1-2). You can probably use a little less (0.5-1) if you have beefy aftermarket parts.

Toe is extremely important. You want some slight Toe-In all the way around. With even the least bit of toe out, the car "wants" to go into a turn, so if you hit a small bump, the car will wander, it is quite scary. You could probably get away with 0 toe in back (rear wheel drive, so acceleration creates toe-in), but you want toe in up front for sure for stability.

Toe out can be used on track if the road is really smooth, as this helps the car to enter a turn, but for daily driven, it is too crazy too keep the car on the road.

Also, if the toe is off, it kills your tires, same for camber, but to a lesser extent.
