Red face Wheel Spacers

Which are safer to run, the adapter style or spacer/ext. wheel stud style?

well both have there pros and cons.

If you use a bolt on spacer make sure its a reputable company, some spacers break if your have 250hp+ to the rear wheels. They are safe for front wheels so i recomment at least a 25mm front.

Extended stud is just as safe but if to much weight/stress is put on them they will snap.

it would depend on how thick you want the spacer to be.
over 20mm and you'd have to use the adapter style.
up to 20mm, nismo 60mm studs will work.
5mm or less and you'll be ok with stock studs

Is Kyo-ei a reputable company. They make the bolt on spacers. If i was going w/ extended studs i was gonna go with H&R. What ya think?

go with kics spacer. never go ext studs and a fat clunk of spacer.

go tiwth an adapter that is hubcentric and if possible wheel centric as well.

Would you explain why to stay away from studs and a spacer. Its not because i don't believe, but to see if there is evident reasoning.

You can get the Kyo-Ei spacers from Project Nissan $15.20 a piece, going from 3MM, 5MM, 8MM and 10MM.

go tiwth an adapter that is hubcentric and if possible wheel centric as well.
Project Nissan has these wheel hub centric rings....is this what you were talking about?

yes hubcentric rings. or you can get an adapter made that is hubcentric already no rings.

if you get ext studs and a spacer, a fat clunk of it and isnt hubcentric, the load is placed more on the studs and can break

avoid it by getting an adapter. with an adapter the load isnt on the studs more on the hub "lip"

With the bolt up adapter style, do i still need it to be hub centric? It seems that all hub centric does is make the inside diameter the same as the hub, which is ~66mm so that its centered. But if the bolt on ones are just bolted on, won't they be in the center?
