onto a stock s14. 235 whp sounds really good for me according to the dyno. how much money to get something like this installed? is it worth it? let me know, thanks.

 

Honestly, with the exception of the oil feed line (which you have to wekd onto the oilpan) the rest is bolt-on.

If I had to guess, $600 or so labor, but that's just a guess. I'd do it for 1/2, minus the welding part

 

depending on what fittings your using the pan doesnt need to be welded either. it would be better to weld it though. there are plenty of fittings that thread on and create a positive seal.

 

I'd rather have it welded and not worry about losing any oil that is the only thing cooling the turbo

 

welding shouldnt be that much $$$$$, I could weld a line into an oilpan in a few minutes without even rushing. so even if you are paying shop rate for a half hour, that part it will still be only a few bucks.

 

Yeah, along with what I said earlier - for stuff like this, I'd rather pay a few buck for welding than pay a whole bunch for a new turbo... if you understand what I"m talking about, heh

 

i would to i was merely stating that if someone could not weld or had the money to do so they could go another route.

works on water temp sensors... don't know yet if i'd trust it with an oil line though

 

Thanks but my main concern isnt an oil line. i want to know is the turbo kit worth it? is it of good quality, is boost deigns good to do business with? etc.....

Haven't dealt with them personally but since this thread started I began asking around, and so far the word is that they're pretty good.
