boost gauge and boost controller

I installed a greddy profec b spec2 boost controller and a autometer boost gauge. My question is, why would the readout on the boost controller be reading out different than the gauge? I have the boost controller set so it reads in PSI, you just have to put a decimal in. The boost gauge reads out higher than the boost controller. One of my buddies said it may be becuase off the manifold the t for the boost gauge is before the t for the boost controller but I don't see how that would make a difference. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

how much off? like 1 or 2 lbs? thats because the boost controller is accurate to the tenth while the guage it not, its basically giving u a rough estimate...really if u got the controller u dont need a boost guage.

thanks for the repliies. yea, it's only off by a couple lbs. i was just curious if there was a way to get them to read the same since my boost controller is in my ashtray so it's kinda tricky to see while driving and since the boost gauge is in the pod it's eaiser. thanks guys.

motegineon, thanks, yea that would make the most sense to do that. I have another issue you may be able to help me with. when tryin to turn the boost up to around 14psi, i can't get it dialed in correctly so i'll hit full boost then fall off then spike back up then fall off and so on. how much boost are you running through your profec b spec2, maybe you can help me with setting it up. thanks.

um im running up to 15, since you got it on psi just dial in 140 for boost, and put ur warning level on like 15-16, put your limiter on %0 if u dont want it to keep running ur boost up n down, although you might be spiking, whats ur gain % set on?

Alright, the settings on the controller are 23% for the SET, 27% for the GAIN and 45 for the START BOOST. With these settings I'm running 10.5 PSI and it holds great. When I try to bump it to around 14 PSI I can't get it dialed in properly. Let me know what your thoughts are and if you could tell me what all of your settings are at to run 15 PSI that would be awesome.
