Question Dump valves on Autos?

Hi Guys,
Can you help? I have a UK Nissan 200sx s14 (turbo)
it is an automatic and what I was wondering was is there any point fitting a dumpvalve to an automatic car? admittedly I only want it for that great noise but i'm unsure about the mechanical difference between an anto and manual gearbox and if it would affect the dump valve.

Your help woul be much appreciated

Andy

Moved to turbo

The only plus I can see is the sound, there isnt a real performance difference to add a new one. BTW for all you people that dont know, dumpvalve=BOV

mechanically it should be the same. You really wont find a performance difference between the two, other than the aftermarket dumpvalve is completely more reliable, and looks a lot shinier, which always keeps my attention, cause I'm like a fish...man I need sleep.
