EGR removal for Turbo
Hi. I'm awaiting the last parts for my turbo to come. I've been seeing that no downpipes or turbo manifolds have an EGR fitting on them. I've read other forums and they said to just weld it shut. My thing is that I live in California and I'm wondering of blocking the tube will give me any engine problems other than a check engine light. Does anyone know if my performance will be affected by sealing it since I have a california version-240sx thing. Thx!!
Oh, BTW. My 1995 240sx has the OBDII system.

Alright! THX Jinxy! I got some of my stuff in, so far: Turbo, Intercooler, wastegate, Manifold, fuel pump, fuel injectors and the oil lines. I just replaced my shocks and springs w/ H&R SPort and KYB AGX and they are great! My RS*R Exmag exhaust will be here soon. I'll keep you guys posted.

Well the Turbo is a Garret t3\t4 core w/ turbonetics turbine housing and XSPower (i'll see how it works out) compressor housing. The intercooler and piping are all custom made, same for the manifold and the downpipe. Everything fits to far. Greddy Emanage w/ support tool and ingnition and injector harnessed. Greddy Type S BOV, Tial Wastegate, Walbo fuel pump, RC Engineering Injectors, and some other stuff I forgot. The guy has everything covered, so i'm confident and his customer support is top notch. he'll be talking to you for hours. I'll let you know how it all goes! thx!
