I'm looking to raise my boost on the stock turbo. I am shooting for 350+ in the long run (with other mods of course, not just raising the boost)

I read that the stock fuel pump cant handle much more boost then the stock is set to. This is what I was thinking of getting:
555ccc SR20DET Injectors
Tomei S13 Nissan 240SX Fuel Pump Kit

Now I'd imagine I'd need a fuel controller after those modifications so I was thinking of:
Apexi SAFC II

Is that all I really need as far as fuel management? I do not plan on getting over 400hp so I do not need the bigger injectors.

Boost guage and turbo timer are not "mods" and specs are numbers like torque and hp, alignment settings.

yea sounds good except the link is for injectors, which is what u need, but u said fuel pump(which of course your going to need to upgrade), then the safc2II is good, ur gonna also need to upgrade to the z32 maf because the stock one doesnt hold much more than 300hp, which is about where u r going to be with all of that stuff and a nice tuning.

 

T25 isnt going to give you 350hp, Your going to need to upgrade.

As for tuning i would get like a Apexi Power FC, HKS FCON or standalone type ecu. Since that is way more accurate than a SAFCII.

 

350hp ain't attainable with stock red-top..either upgrade to T28bb, Disco Potato..or something bigger.

Tuning..go w. a tuned ECU and piggy back it w. SAFC.

Garret GT28RS aka disco potato is an upgrade from the t25 and has horsepower capability of about 300-350 with a great spool up time.

 

it is... not with a t25 though. I think thats what you ment

If I just get my ECU tunned by JWT or Heavythrottle will I still need to buy the Apexi SAFC II?

I read that after 7psi (maybe a little more) that the SAFC isn't very accurate... plus not having to get the SAFC (or some other air/fuel controller) would be quite a lot of money back in my pocket

no, you can do either and run great... the ecu tune will cost more i think

 

The SAFC can be used to fine tune the ECU tune. Every car is different, sending your ECU away to JWT or Enthalpy is great and though they know your setup, it's impossible for them to know everything about your car and how it runs. The SAFC can be used for a little extra percision in tuning the fuel system. You will be fine though with just the ECU tune.

 

SAFC tuning is the equivalent of cuttin a cake with a chain saw.

Not the best way to do things.

 

^ what the last two said. SAFC isn't meant to be the standalone, it's meant for minute adjustments.

Going turbo isn't a minute adjustment.
