Question Help me Please !!!

I have put an aftermarket aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, size 8an stainless steel line on my feed fuel line, Nismo 740cc injectors, a Tomei Intake fuel pump, and jim wolf ecu upgrade for the 740cc injectors. I started to crank my car over, but I did not really pay attention to the fuel pressure regulator gauge when I cranked the car over. After a few cranks I stopped because I started to here a loud clunk sound. My father told me to look at this, I looked under my hood to see what he ws pointing to and it was gasoline coming out of my intercooler pipes. Whaaaaaa!! So I decided to take off my intercooler pipes and it was unbelivable how much gasoline was inside my intercooler pipes. There was also a lot of gasoline in my intake manifold. Can some please help me out and explain why did this happen??? Could it be my fuel pressure regulator was on high??? ( I did turn it down a lot after with an allen key), or is it because I need an after market ignition system as well because I am running my stock ignition system. Could it be that my stock ignition system could not handle the fuel pressure??? The car did not turn over to I guess i will try tomorrow morning??? Please can someone respond to me with some advice, please help me!!!!!

make sure that you get all the gas out of the cylinders before you crank it.
