Just got my new Clifford RS3!!!

Hey what's up guys. I just got my clifford RS3.

http://clifford.com/matrix/timeArticle.asp

I got it off of ebay for an unbeatable price. Well for install i searched around a couple (5) places to get the install done. Most of those bast*rds were asking 300!!!! And that's just the install! A total rip off if you ask me. So I went along and decided to do it myself. Before attempting to wire it i spoke to a few install representatives and they discouraged me from doing it. And after mentioning that they tried to put me a deposit so they could keep the instlal price when i came back. So basically i said screw you (in my head) and was even more encouraged to do it myself! And so wa-lah!

If you don't ahve a factory manual i suggest you get one, also a 12 volt meter is a must. I also had a remote start which was some additional wiring, ut wasn't a total killer. If anyone needs some help wiring this sucker up let me know. It took me roughly 13 hours so far (still doing it) considering that this is my first time doing it, learning relays and schematics, soldering every wire, and pulling apart my console etc.

I tested the range of this baby. Very nice, the factory says it's about 1/4 mile and 2 blocks in extremely poor conditions. I had my car in the garage and walked about 2 blocks out and still got a signal. The receiver is great beause it clarifys every command you send. Another good thing is that the hood, trunk, starterkill, door, doorlock relay, starter satillate relay, ignition kill relay, led, valey swith, etc are all included. It's a very complete package.

Most places will quote you some rediculous amound (150) just for partss??? When it only includes some tiestraps and a few swtiches (2). And besides tehy dont' solder the wires, they actually twist the wires on... literally. No wonder cars get stolen so much.

All in all the receiver is really awesome, i chose clifford because it saved my previous car. The quality of the instructions are adequte and the functions of this system is second to none. I totally recommend cilfford.
