Manual Boost Controller Question
So, I can't really afford a electronic boost controller and I was thinking of getting a manual one. I've never seen a manual boost controller except on the internet so I dont really know how they work.
Is there some measurement or some way to guess on how much boost you'll be running before you actually test the car? Or do you just have to push in a bit and hope it's not high enough to destory your car.

There are directions that let you know how much boost you are getting.
There very easy to install. With those i would reccomend a boost guage.
I prefer manual to electronic controllers.

you close it up all the way when you install then set it by testing each time you give it a quarter or half tun (depending on controller type)
Usually a full turn is around a PSI but it does differ between brands.
If you install them backwards you get open loop and will run infinite boost so be careful

the only problem i see with that is the longer the lines you run for the boost controller the further away the boost controller is from the wastegate, you really want to have the boost controller as close to the wastegate as possible, im not sure how much of a difference there is but a friend of mine has a mbc that installs in the engine baay and has a cable that runs into the car and allows you to adjust from inside, id recomned something like that
