New S14: NEED HELP

Back in the day I was an avid 240sx owner. Then I made the big mistake of selling my beloved 500whp KA powerd 95 240sx and I bought a BIG OL PIECE OF CRAP Evolution 8. NEver do it guys I just recieved my 1997 240sx with a SR swap from DRAG INTERNATIONAL this morning. Sat right next to a new Lambo all the way from Miami.

I have a problem though. When I picked up the car it ran beautifully. 8-9psi felt very nice. Then I noticed that the HKS boost controller was off. So I turned it on and set it to 14psi.

OUCH!! As soon as the boost climed over 8-9psi it started miss firing. Realy jerky. Really undrivable. When I turn the boost controller off, everything is fine. I have no idea what to do and in Dallas there is no 240 shop whatsoever. So I am calling on my REAL brotherin and asking for help.

ANY IDEAS FELLAS?

Thank you

Tony

What ECU are you running? If its the stock unit it may be going into fail safe mode and causing the miss firing. The stock ECU doesn't like high boost levels.
