new-b help to buy s14 95-98 help

I am interested in buying a 240 and hope for some help as to what to look for. What codes are for the lsd models, I am thinking of getting a 95-98 man trans. My budget is not the primary concern, but starting with the right platform is. I have done one of the D-days (d5) at irwindale and like it alot.
Please, no flames, I have modded many cars, just no nissans, and need advice.

If you could start over with any 240 what would it be and why. I am looking to turbo, but need advice quick, I sold my S2000 and want a car that is more fun to drift like my 02 IS300.
matt

Actually i'm just jealous you had an IS300, I love those cars. Anyways I'll try to help you out as much as I can. If i'm not mistaken the s14's with anit-lock brakes all came with lsd. What do you want out of the car, do you want solely drifting or do you want a lot of horsepower too...? Depending on what you want you could always do an engine swap.

If i'm not mistaken there's an orange sticker on the nissan LSD's. i know thats the case for s13's. Another option would be to just get any old s14 and swap an lsd from the z32 n/a or the infiniti j30. just some food for thought

I have the chance to get a perfect s13 gold se with 200k on it, it is perfect, some old lady had it the whole time, one owner. I can get it for $1300.00. Seems like a good deal, the car is perfect inside.

the 13's had the sticker on them. The 14's it was optional and was included with the ABS.
As for the old lady I say go for it.
