No way to know what oil?

Hello everyone.

Im almost ready to throw in my RB20 but I was just pondering the thought of fluids.

There's no way to know what the original owner of the engine used in his car right? Ive heard (for rotaries atleast) that its no biggie if they ran Dino oil and you change to Synthetic, but that its a HUGE deal if they ran synthetic and you go back to regular dino motor oil.

Is this the case with the RB20? Do you recommend going with some syth oil like Redline? What about tranny oil? Thanks

You can't go wrong with Red Line if you can afford it. I use Red Line in everything and it has not failed me yet.

You could use Mobil 1, but the Red Line will last longer.
