noob here, dont flame...

hey guys, im a noob to 240sx's, but not to car forums, so lay off!!

first of all, i searched, not just once, not twice, not even thrice..

i searched a good 5 times, for various topics, and i read quite a bit, so im only asking about things i didnt see (ill search again after i post this, trust me, im NOT new to car forums)...

i have a 1993 fast back base model (manual everything, except..) automatic (i WANTED auto), with almost exactly 127k on the odo...

the car's in pretty good condition, for the price i got it at ($800!usd) out of 10, i'd say it's a good 7 1/2...

i wanna boost, but not too much, i dont have a high *** budget...

okay, now to the questions..

i want to keep my car auto, and turbo it (swaps are out of the question) at the same time.

i wanna keep it low boost (6psi, or so, nothing tremendous) for most of the time, and raise it up to maybe 9-10, for those stop light confrontations..

i need to know how much power the stock tranny can hold (and i'd like to know the tranny code, if possible), and if an S14 KA turbo kit will bolt on to an S13 KA, and if not, what mods are needed? any custom stuff?

also, just cause the turbo is bolt on, doesnt mean i can run the engine like that, i know ill need a larger exaust, but is that all? i know upgraded fuel injectors are required, stuff like that, im just wondering if there's any wierd things you gotta do to boosted KAs..

sorry for the long post, but im just so happy, i was a Toyota loyalist for ever and then..BAM, RPS13!

anyway, thanks in advance for the replies, and i look forward to discussing 240s with you guys.

-Enrique

Your car is not a RPS13 cause it doesnt have an SR in it newb Just mesin buddy...your best bet for a complete kit would have to be the s14 greddy kit....just add a FMIC and BOV. Im pretty sure you have to do some modifications to the piping to make it fit, nothing too major.

Another route would be custom. Try www.phatka-t.com they have all the parts you need to build your own kit. The tranny should be fine to around 300 Crank horsepower maybe more I read it somwhere. And yes you will need a fuel upgrade but the greddy kit comes with bigger injectors and a piggyback

Just remember do a compression test on your KA to make sure everything checks out. With the boosting levels you want to do, you shouldnt need a rebuild if your running strong. Good luck and welcome

i'm about to turbo my s14 KA, have everything but BOV and intercooler kit...and i know how you feel.....it's a really good feeling when you get a new car and your thinking of going from NA to TURBO!!!....good luck and welcome

P.S. really do a compression test...it is worth the $25.00 you spend at advance to buy the compression kit to find out if your motor is good or bad for turbo....i did mine and its all good.................
