Are you talking about gas mileage or reliability?

I know the supra bottom end is considered bullet proof, but you can't really say that a pushrod V8 has problems with reliability. They fewer systems you have, the fewer can fail!

I'd rather have the import, hands down. I don;t much care for the package that domestic V8's are shipped in.

Sad but true. In every sport with an engine. Bigger is better.

How often can you drive a 10 second camaro down the block versus a 10 sec supra? ~ Import Fanatic

Dude I love imports as much as anyone else, but you have to watch what you are talking about. Yes the supra is great and yes it can run 10s but there are a lot of Chevys that can do the same.

Just because it is a Supra doesn't mean it is Unbreakable. Come with me to E-town. I will introduce you to some of my co-workers and friends who are diehard domestic guys. I would not want to step to them on the track (DRAG).

They start out with larger blocks, which respond well to modding. There is a great deal of room for improvement. Most smaller blocks don't have that area of improvement.

It is also hard to deal with the time and numbers they have. They have been around for a long time. They have the owners to back them and research new parts.

There are also some wackos on the level of Signal Auto in the states. Quad turboed V8s. (I subscribe to domestic mags as well).

I know they might not be your flavor but they get busy just as well as imports.

I love my cars. Imports Domestics Rentals and Fleet.
