ive seen threads on ka24 vs. sr20 but none completely answered my question...what is everyones opinion on building the KA24 or buyin the sr20? cause it seems that you could build up the KA for as much as it costs to buy the sr20....but then i hear that you cant push much more than 300 horse on the KA 'cause the design isnt that great and if you want more than 350 horse go with the sr20....so lets discuss...

People love the KA..people love the SR..its just like the RB vs SR..or CA vs SR..u can do so many things to a engine to make it better then another engine..just a matter of how much u willin to spend and is it worth it. do a search on KA turbo kits..find a rough price then compare it to a SR swap..research the kit..find out wut numbers it gives u and do the choosing on ur self.

seriously, if u've searched and read threads like u say u did, then u would know that the question is a moot point to start with. u won't find an answer. best thing: reasearch all of the different possibilities, find the one that appeals to u most, then do it. again, not trying to be an *** or anything, but would u come here and ask us how u should dress?

I'd love to to a KAT. 2.4L = more engine to turbo, if you build the engine it can get into the high 300's. It's also a better block than the SR20 from what a buddy tells me,I think it's iron, whereas the sr20 is alum. Cost wise, if you build you ka's engine you'll be looking almost identical. You can get both up in HP just as easy. If you're looking for that extra 20rwhp, then i'm told the Sr20 can get a big more than the KAT, but 95% of people don't need to worry about that.
Either one is an equal path to being fast!
