sr20 piston upgrade

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and have a quick question that needs clearing out. I have an SR20DET with plans on a rebuild that doesn't invold boring the cylinders. Will the CP pistons with a .02mil oversize fit on stock bore? What else would I have to do or parts do i need to get if it doesn't fit or watever. Thanks in advance.

you need new rings to go with the pistons, as well as rod bearings since your going to be taking them out, may as well have the crank polished and the cylinder walls honed while your at it, if you got it apart, just do it right..

thanks moteginneon

I was planning on doing all that but what i was really concerned with was. will the oversized pistons (.02 mil over) fit on the stock bores with stock piston rings or will i have to get rings to match and bore out the cylinder accordingly. Will i have any clearance issues.

clearance issues? get the rings to match and thake the piston and rings along with the block to a machine shop..they will use micrometers and extremely fine measurement tools to determine how much to hone/bore out your walls
