sr20det a/c
sr20det a/c
i was told that its somewhat costly to put a/c in a sr20'd s13 240. is there any truth to this and any of you guys that have a/c in your 240's let me know what the custom lines ran you or if there's a company that makes them. thanks again.
Im pretty sure there's some info out there, search. BUT
well my 240 was already set up for an A/C and my SR clip came with an A/C so i used the SR engine with SR A/C and just modified one of the hoses leading to the firewall, total cost $50 for welding an aluminum pipe..OOhhh wooo
but i just tried it and its too short, so i have to get him to reweld an adition to extend the pipe..lol
but it will work

found it. xatracing makes the lines from the ka + sr lines for 150. you send em both lines and they send you back the custom ones.

just take the lines to some local welding place and have them cut/weld pipes for much less.
$150 is friggin expensive. I had my line made by a local hose shop for $80. Don't forget that the wiring has to be on the money too. If the pinout isn't correct the ECO won't trip the relay to kick the compressor on. If your SR didn't come with the AC and your trying to retro-fit it, you may have problems because the inlet portion for the KA compressor (the actual fitting) is different then the SR's compressor.
