T-78

Anyone know of a company that makes a T-78 manifold for the KA24DE? Does anyone even have a T-78 on their KA?

don't have one but i just wanna check to see if you know what a t-78 is. That turbo is rediculously large. the t-78 is a HUGE upgrade for a single turbo conversion on a SUPRA. it would be very laggy on a ka. first and second gear probably wouldn't have enough time to hit full boost. just to keep in mind.

...Of course I know what a T78 is. I might be new to THIS forum but certainly not new to the fascinating world of auto upgrading. I was thinking that i wouldnt mind the lag so much, I say this now, but I would prefer that the boost comes on in the higher RPMs because for CALM daily driving there is no need to rip through, redlining every gear. Lets say im on the freeway and I see a civic trying to do a patented ricer fly-bye, I would like to be able to downshift and hit the higher RPMs and have lots of power to get up to speed. Thats what getting a turbo kit is for right? Having the power when you need it.

a t-78 would be WAY too much lag. not to mention you would be way off of the efficiency map. i have used many different types of turbos on my eclipse. i am totally honest when i say that you will hate the t-78

with what i said before still in mind it would work, but like evil s13 said you will need huge injectors and a monster fuel pump. also you will need some kind of fuel controller and lots of dyno time

hey 24os13boi, does he have a boost controller? the biggest power increase for a gsx is a boost controller. also is it a 1st gen(90-94) or 2nd gen(95-99) although the 2nd gen are faster stock the 1st gen are much easier to make fast. with all the supporting mods my 1st gen ran a 12.8 @107mph on a stock turbo before i put in a 20g turbo. i don't know if i can remember everything in my eclipse, but i will try,

-sbr tdo5h 20g turbo
-indy race core fmic (24" / 10" / 3 1/2")
-full 3" intercooler piping
-manual boost controller(had a greddy eo-1 and hated it!)
-evo 3 exhaust manifold(ported)
-ported o2 housing
-3"downpipe
-3"test pipe
-3"exhaust
-550cc injectors
-walbro 255lph fuel pump re-wired
-apexi s-afc fuel controller
-hks vein pressure converter or vpc(replaces MAF)
-turbo xs rfl bov
-act extreme pressure plate(2600lb) w/street disc
-speed design 4 spider gear center differential
-lightened flywheel
-hks turbo timer
-autometer guages(boost, air fuel, egt, oil press, fuel press, votage, temp,)
-02 voltage meter
-TMO logger program w/ laptop (datalogging program)
-ebc crossdrilled rotors
-ebc redstuff pads
-corbeau cr1 racing seats
-crow 5 pt racing harness
-Copetition engineering 8 point roll cage w stripped interior
-short shifter
-tmo chip w/ eprom ecu (2 stage adjustable rev limiter and a ton of other cool options. this chip kiks ***!)

there is a lot more, but i just can't remember what is left. it makes over 400 HP @ 24-26 psi. ill probably post later if i can remember what i forgot to put in.
