Question turbo ka ?

Right now have a stock Ka auto ... want to make upgrades for speed/hp and def looking for a turbo ... is it cheaper more cost effective and performance speaking better to mount a turbo and uprage around the KA ? OR ... put in a sr20det and do similar uprgades around that ?

Basically, which engine has more potential for the lowest cost

the KA auto tranny is pretty weak. so if going turbo i would swap in a manual and then turbo the engine. if going that route an SR front clip would be better. you should get everything needed to do the swap.

ok last thing ... what do i need to do to a stock ka in order to put a turbo on it ? I know u hafta have downpipe, exhaust manifold, blow off, and some other parts i guess ... i was more concerned with whether or not the stock pistons, rings, and other engine **** would hold with the addition of a turbo

I admire your patience Hyjynx.....you know my typical response to these threads.

Its been a large debate whether or not to boost the ka or swap to sr. You'll have to search, research, and make your own desicion based on what you feel will be more affordable and practical. Good luck.

Thanks, and yea please search. You can call this research, but finding out and learning on your own is a much better way
