no...it's not... what are they? 600 dollars? the turbo they put in the kit should cost you that much usually.... the quality of pretty much everything in that kit probably sucks /throw in that picture of a guy who got a turbo from them and found out it was basically glued together

the glued turbos were 4 years ago bro..

like i have said in about 4 other threads. my initial setup was ssac mixed with sr and rb parts... the turbo is fine. i tracked it and beat it up on the streets ( since August 06). I am not one to belive everything I read online except for facts. many of the users brought destruction on themselves by operating the turbo at higher psi levels when it was not made for that.

if you don't know, there are alot of guys with high dollar kits with f-ed up setups because one they don't know what they have and two they just buy it and dont want to pay to have a good shop install it.

I'm not trying to be a dick to anyone, but if you have not installed it and used it yourself you have no room to comment on anything.

the thing with the ssac turbos is when you get them they need to be taken apart, cleaned and preoiled before installation. if you do this the turbo will last a ton longer. there have been reports of metal shavings getting lodged in the bearings/compressor wheel when they are brand new, and xspower/ssac aknowleges this and they reccomend the above. personally i would not trust ssac wastegates or turbos.

Lol I wish I had the 3 grand to drop on that kit. Hey AMS, I'm local, so if I come pick it up could you give me a deal? Say, 1k?

Seriously though, I am contemplating buying the SSAC GTRS28 turbo. Biggamehit and Silviaks, you say I'll be fine if I rebuild it and keep it at stock boost?
The SSAC turbo it has funny IC piping.

What is that tube coming out of the piping (circled)? I also don't see the flange for the BOV.

ha ha your good bro.

and about the turbo.. not rebuild it, but just take the compressor off and inspect it for any debris and make sure you prelude the turbo by pouring oil into the feed section while spinning the shaft to make sure its good and lubed.
