Um you can buy parts to turbo your KA. What you should do is think about what you need to do to get your engine turboed and what your gunna do with your engine in the future. Are you going to just turbo it and run 7psi daily without replacing the internals? Or are you going to replace the internals and turbo it to run like 15psi and get some big numbers outta the KA. So basically right now what you need to do is think about what you want to do with your car in the future and plan ahead.

Good luck!
and Happy Boosting

Looks like you're jumping into things WAY faster than you can gather information.

Think of EXACTLY what you want out of the car and engine, and what you plan to do with it (Drift, Drag, Street, whatever). From there you can get a good idea of the pros and cons of each engine, setup, the money it takes, and gauge what you REALLY need as opposed to guessing.

WE can't tell you what to do, or what kind of Turbo kit to get. It's YOUR car. Ultimately, you are going to have to live with the decision, not me, not your friends, not anyone on this board, YOU. Definitely do some research, and ask questions once you've gathered that information. These questions should be more specific rather than:

"Should I get an SR20, or Turbo my KA?"
"Should I get an RB26?"
"Do I need an LSD?"

These are questions you should be asking YOURSELF. Once you figure out what you want to do, you can ask more specific questions that will help you on the path that you've already started.

I've been flamed for it many times --> Search. As much as I hate saying it, and as much as people hate to hear it, that button is there for a reason.

thats true, and thanks a whole lot. I really don't like to drag race or nothing. I could care less how fast my car is on a straight away. i like curves and torque, drifting is my game and having a fun car to drive is what i want. drifting is the set up im leanning towards. I love cuttin up at night with my friends, hittin the twisties and curves, too much initial d man. But that is what i want to be able to achieve more or less with a turbo. more power to get sideways. so when i look at all of these turbo setups im like wait a min. can someone please help me out!!!??? cause i just want to have a nice kick of a turbo and some more power. i know i can get more power from upgrades and etc... but i want turbo power to do what i stated above. now can you help?

A TO4E on stock KA with metal headgasket puts 260 crank hp.

Well, thats a start. First you should think about your budget. What's realistic for you in terms of how much you can spend. If you are that interested in drifting, the first thing you should worry about is your SUSPENSION, because thats more important than power.

What good is gobs of power if you can't even put it to proper use? My suggestion is to invest in a good set of coilovers and get lots of practice time in. Start with 90 degree turns, and 180's using the e-brake. Also it is a good idea to practice heel-toe while doing that.

Once you've got the basics down, you'd probably want to invest in a good LSD. I'm assuming you don't have one, if your car is a stock 92 LE. Even a viscous LSD would work, but there are definitely better ones out there. Do your research on these parts and what they do in relation to how you want your car to run.

Building your car properly is a process, you can't rush it, nor should you. It's good to take baby steps first, then upgrade when you're really ready. Although who am I to tell you what to do, you know? DEFINITELY do your research first, it'll save you lots of time and money in the future.

Good luck with everything.
