ok, so i come from the supercharger world. when my saturn got wrecked i was all set to buy a 240sx and tune it out. well as my luck would have it i wound up having to sue the company of the truck that hit me and after 7 months i still havent seen a dime. so my wifes aunt gave me her kia sportage. not a bad ride for now. i have done a few mods to it already but wanted to do a sts style turbo (rear mount).
im adding a 1 3/8 body lift to it so i can run all the pipe. i have 2.5 exhaust to go to the turbo, then i want to run the pipe (not sure what type to get) to the throttlebody, and another up to the engine compartment for the air intake. this way when im on the flooded access roads for work im not sucking in water. but im retarted to what i need. im not sure the turbo size since it wont be at the engine (not really any room). i guess i need a bov? are there any that are real quiet and not so expensive?
what is a wastegate and where does it go? and what kind of tuning do i need? im trying to read up around the net but maybe someone here can dumb it up a bit or if close by help undertake this job. fastest kia i know of runs low 15's. i want 14 or better without blowing up my ride

 

Hey, don't worry people from ClubKia come here all the time! Seeing as 240 and Kia are right next to eachother, it's a common mistake.

im thinking now on holdin out and doing a turbo ka in a nissan pickup. if i can get a buyer for the kia as it sits blue book would cover most of the cost of a x-cab pickup and the parts id need. thanks for your help
