Turbo Specs

I've been doing a lot of research lately because I'm looking into a turbo setup, but I've been having some trouble fully understanding the different measurements such as the compressor and turbine a/r, and the trim sizes. (What is the difference between a 57 trim and a 60 trim). I was wondering if anyone could give me some help on understanding these and how they effect the turbo. Ex: T3/T4 Hybrid E .50AR Compressor .63AR Turbine 57 Trim

If you're going to do anything turbo related to your car, please buy Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. It has a great breakdown of how everything works and everything that you need to know about turbos. Its a great book and it will save you a lot of frustration in the long run.

well, it wont save you frusteration, I read it 5 times. Im sure that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my turbo kit that I put together, but its the 240 itself that is fuxored.

anyway, make sure that you have your engine running perfectly before installing the turbo kit. it WILL locate all problems that you have for you.

just venting

oh yeah, and the book is quite helpful.
