Rim/Tire size specs?

hey, what size tires and rims can fit on an s13, without rubbing or any interferances? I was looking to get 17X7.5 rims with
205/45/17 tires. Would the 45mm tire rub with the stock suspension? How much could i drop the car safely with the 45mm's on? Also would 215 fit?

the offset of the rim is going to be 40mm. I am talking about the thickness/height of the tire. I ahve not purchased rims yet, i just would like to know what tire size to get 205/45/17???? 215/45/17?? 205/40/17??? thanks

45mm is not the sidewall height of the tire, it's the aspect ratio. I think it's basically the tire's width / sidewall height. For more info, you can check www.tirerack.com as they have a good walkthrough on reading tire sizes.

u can go up to 19" rims on any Silvia... My friend over at Mach Performance in Sacramento CA told me that theres enuff room to slap 19's on there and still be able to do a 1" drop...

Another friend of mine, he has a pair of RH 17s in the back (205/40/R17) and they look extremly thin plus theres a huge wheel well gap.

I asked him wuts the max u can go width wise, and he said stock height tires and rim can go: 235/40/R19 or 235/35/R19... If u drop it, I recommend to run something like 225/40/R18 (no rubbing or interferance per to wut my friend told me) Im going to ask another friend from Texas wut the limits are... it's better to drop it first then buy rims after, cause if u buy the rims at stock height, cant gurantee u that it will fit after u drop it.

Im planning to do 225/40/R18 on stock height, maybe drop it on Tein coil-overs (prolly 1/2" to 1" drop)

but again, dun quote me on the max size I said for the Silvia dropped... stock height u can go up to 235/40/R19 (safer to go 235/35/R19, thinner tires) Lemme double check with the fellas from Tex, and I'll post up again. Or Email me, and I'll give u full specs.
