I know a place that CAN do it in my town but I just don't trust their work... I want my engine built and the turbo installed. I would love to do it myself but without help I would just do more damage than good.
I'm picky about shops too. I need my car to idle smooth and run as a daily driver. I'm also not looking to go crazy overboard but I want to stay KA24DE and add the HP of the turbo.
Just don't want to do another sr20det swap like everyone else.

I say build the motor and all yourself...it is not hard to learn. Go to a shop for welding ,tube bending(piping), and tuning. But in ne case I know a couple over here towards fort walton beach. Where are you located and how far are you willing to take your car.
Hey thanks for the reply. What I'm leaning towards now is buying a turbo kit, a good one, and another KA if I can find a good price.
Honestly I do not know enough to tear down my motor (need it for every day use) but if I have a good running ka still in my car I can give myself time to build the second while it is out. That way if any problems arise I won't be stranded.
I think I still want to turbo the original if everything checks out ok on it though. I found one place in town that I have the confidence could do it I'm just not sure what they want to charge. I'm also not sure if they would do it as they are not a Nissan shop, just a general garage that does honest good work.
I'm in the middle of North Central FL right now. Gainesville. I've been seeing allot of nice 240's around here but it is a college town.

If you are in Gainesville and you are sure you want to take your car to a shop, try Tampa. There are countless number of shops that do awsome work down in Tampa. Honest to god, if you want to build the motor and turbo charge it yourself you should. You save a lot of money and it is really fun.
