hey smartass why don't you burn your car. i think its ugly as hell. why do people on here hate on people so much all the time, you don't gotta go around calling people idiots and telling them to sell their cars because they dont use a search button. just because i don't press a button i should sell my car? sometimes maybe i don't know what to search for and i'd like to hear what people thought about what I had to say rather than reading what other people have to say about someone else's problem? come on now...lets be a little nicer to people around here..atleast be nicer when telling someone to use a search button.

Using the search function if very useful. You type in the key words you want to find out about and then threads appear.

You need to calm down. This is your first and only warning. IF you wanna know whats up on KAT go to KA-T.org.

Im in no ways the smartest one around here so I could be wrong but I dont see why you'd need to get aftermarket pistons. Maybe bigger injectors but Im not sure.

it all depends on how much boost your planning on running. anything over 10-12 psi depending on the mileage on your engine is starting to push the stock internals someone chime in if i'm wrong

First off i dont care what u think about my car, thats why im driving it and not you...And if u actually stay on this board and rack up posts unlike most of the newbs that get on here to ask a question thats been answered 1,345,347 times....then youll actually notice how annoying it is when a newb jumps on a board and asks such a simple question...

Now that im done pointing out that im not ******* im just frustrated, maybe u should start off by actually telling us what your planning to even be doing with the car...how are we supposed to know what size turbo, what power goals, and what use the car is for if u dont tell us...U can throw a turbo on any car and not change out a thing, but do u think ur going to get a lot of power...no....So how bout u think over what ur plans and goals are and let us know and then maybe we would be able to answer a few questions...You being specific kind of lets us know ur actually planning on doing this and not just getting on the board asking about boosting when in reality u know its never going to happen...

Hey, I said keep it calm.

alright first off i'm sorry levi for gettin out of hand on motegineon but why doesn't he get a warning also? calling someone an idiot for that isn't cool either. sorry motegineon too. besides i didn't know what to search for i already searched for piston and turbo together but didn't get anything. alright so. ok i'm not sure what kind of turbo it is..i've tried searching that too but i guess i'm no good at seraching. i just know the turbo comes off of a skyline gt-r, is what i said. it's gonna go into my 92 240sx with a ka24de. i mainly want it for straight up speed...for drag races or races...no drifting. does anyone know how much boost a stock skyline turbo can put out? thanks...bye the way..there are new users everyday...sometimes they just don't search for these threads to post on, so new ideas come everyday..sorry for the frustration of you guys that aren't newbs.

The RB26 (GTR) is twin turbo, and comes with two t28s I believe. Relatively small turbos so if you really want something for drag racing your going to want to go with something a good bit bigger like a T3/T4... As far as pistons and an engine rebuild, that depends on what you want to do with your car like motegineon said... It is very possible to run a turbo setup without touching the internals with good tuning... There is a lot that goes into turboing your KA so as everyone has told you your going to have to do a lot of searching and reading, there is tons of info on this forum that you will find helpful...Good luck with everything

No hard feelings man, anyways like he said above i think he is correct on the 26dett, but i believe the 25 and/or 20 det motors came with a turbo equivalent to about a t3 size. Generally based on how many miles u have on ur motor, most people do not boost the ka over 10lbs on stock internals although i think its recommended to stayt around 8psi..I dont think pistons necessarilly need to be replaced, but maybe some heavy duty rings, valvle springs, rods and so forth...with a well tuned motor along with all the boltons u should be able to attain around 250hp without rebuilding it, but i dont know how reliable it would be..Also little things like metal headgasket/ other gaskets, injectors, maf, fuel pump and so forth will also be needed...and dont forget about SUSPENSION..

S14 SR T28 is easier to bolt on because they make manifolds for them over a RB26 turbo.

If you want power straight up. Then you will need to rebuild the engine top to bottom.

I have seen stock KA's take 12psi daily. With T28, T3/T4,T04b and still keep truckin.

I really depends on how much you wanna spend.

i'm lookin at a 95 non-se model that has ruffly 150k on it, would it be safe to boost that or go ahead and rebuild it with rods, pistion, studs, etc. then boost a lil later? would that be possible to add those then boost a few months down the road or will that damage it?
