im asking for your opinion and suggestion,

i have a friend who has a '89 240 with auto transmission that needed a new engine. for $1500 - 1800, what kind of set up can he do?

would that money enough to get the car a new engine and a 5 speed swap?

can a single cam k- motor be replaced with a double overhead cam engine using the same auto tranny?

he's not dreaming for an sr swap coz thats way beyond his budget.
