Long lasting tires????
Im looking for some long lasting tires in the sizes of 205/55/16 or 215/50/16 with a good price below 75$ a tire. My Falken tires never seem to last me long enough. Any ideas? Do I believe the treadwear that these websites tell me about the tire? Need help to decide on tires soon!!!!!

Street tire wear is:
10% Compound
40% Setup/Alignment
50% Driving Style
On the Prelude, I had a set of Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212s at a 200 treadwear last me 20K miles. Aggressive, but not stupid street driving, and a few autocross runs with no more than normal wear. Now I'm running a harder tire with a longer treadlife. I expect longer life out of these than the ones listed above.
It's all in how you take care of things...
Tips:
1. 4-wheel alignment twice-a-year (Cheap compared to suspension probs.)
2. Tire Pressure checks EVERY OTHER DAY
3. Slow Down! (both on accelleration and turns)
4. Stop with the extreme negative camber. Get as close to factory specs as possible. Your dd/weekend hoodlum car isn't running SCCA.
If you want to roast tires and throw the rear out a lot, buy a set of **** wheels and tires and keep your nice ones healthy.
