I do agree that the GTO is not a mountian drifter.. but I call

on the weight. Many 2dr and 4dr skylines here are VERY heavy and still drifting in the mountians.. weight is not such an issue with the power


now about variety.. even in Japan D1 or just drifting in general for that matter.. you see the same cars in japan also.. with maybe a little larger pool of everyday cars.

Ok, no BS on the weight because weight is a significant factor in the mountains. Why do you think little miatas can rape this heavy bohemoths. It's cause they're light as hell. Lighter cars own heavy cars on the touge. Even if heavy cars have all this power, what's the point if they;re gonna have to take more time accelerating and more time braking because of thier weight. They can't take advantage of thier power.

The four member drift team will drive new cars in Formula D 2005 season

Nov. 3, 2004: Las Vegas - The members of team Drift Alliance: Vaughn “JR” Gittin, Chris Forsberg, Tony Angelo, and Ryan Hampton will all be driving new Falken factory team cars for the 2005 season.

“Drift Alliance, is finally in a position to showcase the deep talent of our team. We are very excited for the 2005 season to come, and for the opportunity to compete as singular force, on a factory motorsports team."

The members of Drift Alliance will be piloting the following Falken sposered cars

Tony Angelo/1995 Mazda Rx7
Vaughn “JR” Gittin Jr./2005 Ford Mustang
Chris Forsberg/2000 Nissan Silvia S15
Ryan Hampton/1993 Nissan 180SX

The twelve factory-supported Falken drifters for 2005 are:
Seigou Yamamoto in a Mazda FD3S RX-7
Calvin Wan in an Infiniti G35
Hubert Young in a Nissan S13 240SX

i saw a marudur (sp) at formula D in houston. It did look a little funny seeing a luxury car drift but never the less was cool as sh@t

there definately needs to be more variety in the cars that are drifting....don't get me wrong i love the 240(obviously) and rx-7, but it would be nice to see other cars in there. competition is what makes cars better. What would the skyline be if it didnt have the supra to compete with.
