weight reduction

i wanna drift but i want to make my car as lite as it can be so i dont trash my tires as much. about sound dampers are they that heavy? how heavy are they?

you could remove the back seat and all the crap back there as well (school books, back pack, taco bell mild sauce packets that litter the floor). Maybe empty out the ash tray filled with coins? LOL

Take out all the interior except your seat / carpet / sound damp/ rear seats / dash / gauges / take out all the windows put in lexan / carbon bonnet/ frp front and rear fenders / carbon trunk / remove all interior body panels / and well.. you get my point.. to what point is loosing weight too much??

your gonna burn tires no matter what.. alot depends on style of driving / quality of tire and Horsepower .. weight is only ONE part. if you can get a full day with a brand new set NOT USED of tires then your lucky. there is a point when your driving is good enough when you dont burn as much.. meaning.. you can still be drifting just lower in the powerband.
