alumminum driveshaft vs. stock

whats the difference between both driveshafts and what is the advantage of the alumminum driveshaft besides the stock one. is there a carbon driveshaft made for the s13 too.

Less rotating mass=more power to the ground. Quicker revs, higher top rpm, little less low end tq. More good than bad, go for it.

No carbon that I know of....too much GT4 eh? lol.

if you have money you can get a carbon driveshaft

if the car is just a daily driver or don't see much track time at all it really is not necessary

Aluminum is better for all the reasons stated above there are carbonfiber DS as well. I can't remember the company but they make an aluminum drive shaft (For Drag) that twists up a little and as you launch it lets all the potential energy that built up into the twist out ans you roll down the strip out into the crive train thus kicking out a little more from the drive train.

www.driveshaftshop.com has some really nice aluminum drive shafts (propellor shaft)
