I just bought an exedy stage 2 clutch for my 89 240 with an sr20det. The stock throwout bering spun on the shift fork itself, but the new one dosent. My question is, Is the throwout bering supposed to spin by itself on the cast cylinder over the shift fork? Also, how far is the bering supposed to be put on the cast cylinder? I would appreciate your help, thanks.

 

the whole bearing shoudnt spin, just the center ring inside of it..
