I just bought this 89 240 a week ago and it has had its clutch replaced 20k miles ago. For the first 4 days i had the car....i had no problems. Then one day i pushed it kinda hard....i was at about 5k rpm in 1st and then i pressed in the clutch to shift into second and i got this strange shrieking noise and then as soon and a shifted into second it went away. This also happens when i shift from 2nd to 3rd when im really punching it.....it does not happen in 4th or 5th no matter how hard i push it.
I was thinking that it may have something to do with the fact that i let my friend drive to car....and he grinded 2nd gear while pushing the car fairly hard. I was thinking maybe syncro or clutch....but i doubt its the clutch....it only has 20k on it. I am really hoping that the previous owner simply did not change the tranny fluid and that is the culprit. I really need some advice here.

 

i just realized that im completely out of clutch fluid.....thats probably the problem
