stupid question from noob

ok so i took my diff off the car, took the cover off cleaned the gears of oil and started welding them.... and it caught on fire lol apperently i didnt get all the oil out. so i went to take the gears outta the pumpkin and cant figure out how they come out. someone please help. i've taken the berings off and cant see how the axles come appart

make sure you know what your doing with the welds, dont want it to break on you down the road.

yeah i made 8 tacks on the gears together and when it gets warm out ima finish welding em

yeah if they break on you it will lock your rear end up sending you spinning out of control.

make sure you know how to put it back in, you know you cant just stick it in right?

totally not true bro at anything over 25-35 mph it will simply shatter from the force and you will free spin. i have seen it happen. luckily my first one locked up at about 10 mph on the way to work one morning. this was becuase i did it with a f-ing 120 V flux welder and they welds didn't penetrate deep enough
