i know that the 2jzgte motor can hold up to like 1200hp. the rb26 is about the same. im not sure about the rb25 capabilities though but i know its not as good as either of those two motors. if uy talkin about puttin in the 2jzgte motor in you car because it can handle a couple hunred hp more, then wow. because if you can afford to put anymore than 600 hp into that motor, than it shouldnt matter what anybodyelse thibnks, or what else is cheaper because obviusly money isnt an option. but on the other hand, the 2jzgte wiull cost a substantially larger amount than the rb25, hell, itlss be cheaper to go with an rb26 too. but i know it can be done, ive seen pics of it on the net before.

Same MANUFACTURER + same year or newer with all emissions equipment in tact. Must meet federal emissions rules also.

Holy thread bump!
you shud compare the 2JZ to the RB26 with a RB25 tranny first off.
and second of course wud be the trouble of rewiring the 2JZ for a 240, thats the real money killer.

I actually saw 2 on ebay a while ago. a red one had a 2JZ with 850HP, a blue one had a RB26 with 780HP. something like that. both went for high 30K's

This thread is pretty old, but to be honest, youre comparing an RB25 to a GT spec engine. For the price, the 25 is better if you are looking to save cash. If you have the money to spend, 2J that sucker. 2JZswap.com has all your swapping needs for VERY cheap! All you would need to do is find a 2J and an R154 5spd manual trans, replace the first baring with a chromoly baring. Do a little build up and it will be one fast beast. I thought about the 25, but I just have personal issues about the cylinders being so close together (cooling issues) Other then that, its fine. But if you really want pure power output, 2J is the only option you have, unless youre stinking rich and convert an RB26 to work on RWD only platform.

Tires, I would go with either Falken RT615 or Bridgestone RE010-R

wow now thats not nice man,the only problems you find with a rb25 is oil pump which changing and its all good. I'm boosting on 18 to 23 with just a oil pump and a metal head gasket and so far so good. 2jzs are good but which one is better still remains mystery. yall see it soon.and a rb 26 there no comparison,so chill bro.your just guessing and reading too much mags perhaps too much playstation.top brands in japan is rbs,fds,2jzs. The fastest car in japan is skyline and fds sow get it right. Why above 500hp your supra aint going no where.rwd nothing else to say.So to keep it even Its RWD vs RWD.Im building the same power as he is no dif.if he builds 1200hp I'll build 1200hp.If ya into building fast cars theres no cheap shots.
