CA swap on 2 cyl HELP

Unhappy CA swap on 2 cyl HELP

somebody plz explain this 2 me. i have 125psi compression, spark, fuel, correct timing, and a ca18 swap in a 91 coupe that runs on only 2 cyl. its like i have half a motor. plug in the injectors and it backfires like a machine gun i need help. some local technitions in the area think it could be the eccs, got a different one in the mail right now.

Just guessing here, since I wouldn't know a CA18 from an AR-15, but how about the time-honored "distributor 180 degrees out of phase"?

Assuming, of course, that there is a distributor in the first place.

^yea, check that... also, runing your car while those two cylinders arent workin isnt a very good idea. Check that you have the right spark plug wires going to the write plugs, and that the injectors are OK. may have something to do with a screwy ecu also

also check to make sure you dont have a pinched injector wire or pinched coil wire, that will create problems like you described and I have seen it more than once on JDM motors from shipping and moving them around.

my injectors are pulseing and they hold pressure so i know theyre not leakey or fauty. i already flipped timing and it made it worse so i put back. new plugs with working coilpacks. ?. im so frustrated with this bull im about to pay a shop to do it
