I just ran into this problem. I tried for about an hour to get everything to line up with the mts attached to the car. I got really close but nothing. Then I just loosened the mts, with the nuts all the way loose, so there was a lot of free play, but still on so the mts would stay attached to the car. The motor just dropped right in, literally less than 2 minutes. Hope this helps, good luck.
