Constructive opinions needed: CA18DET, or RB20DET?

Okay, currently my KA is faced with a death sentance and im not gonna fix it. Not worth the effort do fix that particular piece. SO, before it craps out (at which point ill build it up for high HP NA for another car) i want to swap it out for a JDM turbo motor. My choices went as so: CA18DET, SR20DET, or RB20DET the rb25 and 26 are too labor and funding intensive, so ill leave that to the big banks. Personally i dont like the design of the sr20, the rocker arms and single row timing chain, and everone and their grandma does that, so narrowed it down to RB20 or CA18. They are both relatively cheap (under a grand) but shipping will kill me. I know that the rb20 ill produce more torque and will probably give more power in the long run, but its also bigger and heavier. I dont know which one i should go with, so anyone who has either of these, help me make my mind up. Or anyone who knows a lot about either motor, its strengths and weaknesses please shed some light.

id personally go with the rb20det over the ca18det, im not gonna go into a major explanation, but basically because i believe the motor has much more potential than the ca18. Not to mention it is 6 cyl vs. 4cyl. But then again id choose sr20 over both of them. You are right though, everyone does have it, but just remember that everyone has it for a reason..it is a great motor as well as parts are easy to come by for it and the swap is simple. So basically id choose sr or rb, but if you refuse sr i guess its rb lol

This will be my DD for the next few years, so im probably not going to try to put down more than 250-300 ponies... at max. Im looking to shoot for about 200-225 at the wheels, so with a few mods the CA should be pretty quick, or the RB will be there waiting. lol... see the SR isnt out of the question, its just that the price is so inflated because everyone wants it, because everyone knows its a simple swap and dont want to try anything new.

HOLY **** JARCO IS EXPENSIVE!

Well... it seems pizza hut in my area of town gets shafted. We get 7 bucks an hour plus tips, which isnt bad, but the places we deliver to suck. Poor *** neighborhoods, trailer parks, and a couple other neighborhoods. All in all, its okay, but im not gonna deliver anymore. I think it had a big part in the death of my KA. Other pizza places though seem to get much better tips, from what their drivers (my friends who drive for em) tell me.
