d.i.y. sr swap help..?
I spent a year on my SR swap... and I had the tools. Other stuff came up, it wasn't all swap difficulties.
If this is your daily driver, I would say bring it to a shop. If you've got the time, it's worth it to do it yourself. Nobody is goign to put the car into it that you would... but then again that's what takes the time. Between removing things, masking stuff and painting I spent probably 10 days painting my engine bay with multiple coats so that I could hose it out if necessary without blasting the paint off.
One thing I would recommend - buy an IC kit. Seriously, SSautochrome is running a group buy for an i/c with all the tubing you need for ~$425. I think it cost me about $600 or maybe a little more to do it myself by the time I bought all the aluminum bends and silicone couplers.
