engine bay HELP!

ok i dont see any rust really on the car (89 240sx fastback)
but in the engine bay
where the battery tray is i guess water got trapped and the rust is BAD
i dunno what to do
i can see a hole all the way threw....
so do i get someone to rip it off or do i need to get a whole new section put there?

just cut it out and weld a new piece in.

yea just cut it out. and while your at it move your battery into the trunk. and you wont have to weld another piece back in. leaving room for intercooler piping. meh or you can just weld another piece back in and place the battery where it was.
