hey guys right now im in a dillema*sp? anyway i have a auto 240 right now and im looking into getting a rb20 for it, it wont bother me having to convert it to 5 speed i just want whatever will be the quickest, im trying to set this car up for street drag...aka dragging on the street but anyway i was thinking stay auto with an rb20 and try to get shift kit and a stall or something because i just want w/e would be the quickest so lmk guys


like i said auto to 5 speed conversion is not a problem i just want w/e is quickest

oh and btw yes i can drive stick so no1 ask and i can drive it well but i was jw on the auto since times would be much closer

I don't know. I would just take care of this when you get your engine. I don't think I have ever seen an auto trannied clip.

my clip was a automatic. actually it was a awd automatic...i have done a couple rb20's that were auto but i made them 5 speed.


2 good things about a auto is quicker ET's and doesn't loose boost when it shifts. it would save time also. so it's up to you.
depends on if you can find a auto rb20. seems like when you want a 5 speed all ya can find is auto's and i bet it will be vise versa aswell.

Wow I didn't know that. I have only really looked into SRs but that is a good point.

yes

when a turbo car is automatic it has no boost loss in between shifts,it also launches with boost whoopie!
