If you need AWD you'd be much better off buying a dsm, subaru, or, if you want a really rare swap, an altima w/ bluebird sss parts. Anyway good luck.

To make an RB26 fit you need to convert it to single turbo and use the tranny and oil pan of an RB25, plus custom intercooler piping and wiring. Price varies a lot on parts and labor....

Well, If I was with stupid as is the person above me, I would have said the same thing, however, since I am not, I won't repeat him.

The RB25DET comes in RWD platform. The RB20DET came in an AWD and RWD platform in the R32 models. These were the GTS and GT4 (obviously 4 is for AWD). The RB26DETT was only AWD in all models R32-R34. To do the AWD conversion, I would recommend the RB20 AWD system as I believe it matches the 240SX suspension a bit better.

well how much of a pain is it to get the rb26 in there. if i'm gonna go through with the trouble with having a new engine put in then i might as well make it a beast of one too

EDIT: disregard this message, this is what sleep deprivation does to you

Actually, I have a customer who threw a RB26 into his 240...he said it worked almost perfect, just about $100 in custom steering parts. Another customer had a RB26 and got the McKinney Motorsports Mounts for the RB25 and he supposedly had no problems at all......maybe the RB26 is more feasible than was once thought.
