Unhappy got new used 240 need engine help

Hey I recently purchased a 1992 nissan 240sx se and I need a some advice. I'm lookin for a goal of about 300whp. Budget is an issue here so i think the sr20det is out as I found it could run me$2500 U.S.+ shipping to Canada. I'm really likin the rb20det as i herd it can easily handle 300hp and its cheaper. Ive found them from $1200-2100 plus shipping which is a more realistic for me. Im almost certain my ka can't handle anything over stock unless i rebuild it because its got 100 000 highway miles (220 000 km).
Im not sure what the better route would be..... work on the ka? or swap an rb? and can u get 300hp in the rb with the stock turbo unit? (upgraded fuel system, exhaust, etc ofcourse)
Any help is really appreciated. Thx alot.

RB requires custom mounts and a lot of custom fabrication, it's not going to be cheaper by much IF at all. . . .

best bet is a SR redtop with another 1500 invested, and you'll hit 300rwhp.

doc, RB20s dont require custom nothingJust use the R32 cross member, and do a LITTLE shaving on the sway bar and turbo elbow and ur set. With the stock turbo..i dont think you will be seeing 300rwhp, you wont see 300rwhp on a stock SR turbo either. Upgrade it, and you will see some real nice numbers
