head swap

head swap

any one have any good tip on how to remove a head from a 240sx SOHC and replace the gasket



and no its not the valve cover

the pervious owner blow a head gasket and it needs to be replaced

only payed 300 for the car with title

cars in great shape except for the seats and headlights

Take the valve cover off, then the head bolts. Then lift the head off of the block and take off the old gasket (might have to scrape some of it off) then place the new gasket, put some sealant on and throw the head back on. Then torque the head back 2 spec (in the rite order) then put the valve cover back on. Your done.

yeh FSM would help but its a pretty simple job.
