OK i am looking into buying a 1997, 240sx and i wanted to put the sr20 motor into it the compleat pacage with trans motor and all the other goodies but it said that the motor was for a 91-93 240, so my ? is can i swap that into the 1997 240? here is the link of the motor i am looking at http://www.jspecautosports.com/catal...spx?prod_id=37

it works different wiring than s13 into s13 but mounts up fine

 

they make an sr20 for your car, its the s14, it has an upgraded turbo and a few more horses only problem is it takes a few more bucks

 

If i do this will i be able to pass emissions bc i no after the year of 95 on cars they dont dyno them they ecu test them so would i not fail the test bc i changed my ecu???

 

dont plan on passing emissions maybe the cali guys can help u out and give u some secrets most people delete EGR and AVI any emissions stuff
