KA24E for a KA24DE

I bought my car a week ago and i had a sticky cam shaft and now there is a hole threw my engine block.

Instead of dropping 6 grand on a SR20DET with install and all that crap im gonna spend alot less and just put in a new KA24E or KA24DE, i am just wondering if anyone can tell me if in a 1989 240sx if everything will mount up properly when i swap my KA24E for the KA24DE Thanks alot guys

Most stuff will mount up such as; motor mounts, driveshaft, shifter. Some important things wont match up though. Including; your sohc tachometer wont work, wiring harness' need to be re-wired, and power steering will be an issue. Im sure i forgot other things I will try to think of other things.

Thanks guys for ur replies, its helpful for me, i went earlier today and checked it out, to get the sr20det into my car its around 4500 with labour and parts, but its not worth my time as i am 17 and only make 10 bucks an hour. so instead im sticking with my ka24e, unfortunatly the place i go to is having trouble locating a rebuilt one and i am going to have to pay for a rebuil 2500 bucks with a used block, owell **** happens
