My swap is finaly finished

Ok well my mech just called me to tell me that my car was finished and that he now wants one! Dont get me wrong he has a pretty bad 5.0 but to want a sr20det Has anyone else had similar responses.

Yeah, Im in the military and dont get a whole lot of time. I wish i had done it myself but oh well. We'll see how it goes.

not if you have never done it before. not to mention that if you dont have the experience you will wind up wasting alot of time, and sometimes even more money than if you would have just paid to have it done.
just to give you an example, my swaps start at $3000- SR$2000=$1000
so you have a $1000 to get all the tools you need, and supplies for the motor, ie; oils, filters, gaskets, plugs....(about $100-200 depending)
and a hoist(another $200) a place to do it, TIME to do it, and what happens when something breaks, or you have a question cause you are flying by the seat of your pants????
Some people have alot of these things covered, most dont, so not only would it hard for some people to do it themselves, but alot of the time its just a stupid idea.
I know, most people want the pride, or bragging rights to say they put it in themselves. The way I look at it, I would rather be proud to say that my car runs great and someone is there to back me up if I have a bad part, instead of being proud to say that I put it in myself and messed stuff up or it runs like crap, or that it just never got done because I had tons or things go wrong and got fed up.
